Porcelain stone is a ceramic with a compact texture which is hard, coloured, non-porous and has exceptional resistance. This ceramic is obtained from mixtures of clay, sand and other natural substances. The mix, after appropriate preparation, is fired at high temperature (1,000 – 1,300 C°). Among the more salient characteristics of porcelain tiles is also the very high abrasion resistance.
